Geoflora celebrates an important international achievement at the 2026 Outstanding Varieties Competition, one of the floral industry’s most recognized competitions, organized by the Society of American Florists (SAF). In this edition, seven varieties grown by Geoflora and bred by SB Talee were recognized among 183 participating varieties.

This achievement reflects the shared commitment to innovation, quality, and the development of new varieties that meet the demands of the international floral market.

Seven Varieties, Seven Awards:

Of the seven varieties presented by Geoflora, two received Blue Ribbons and five received Red Ribbons, with one variety also earning the prestigious Best in Class recognition.

The recognized varieties were:

Wien: Blue Ribbon and Best in Class – Cut Dianthus.

Fiorino® Folie: Blue Ribbon.

Cocuy: Red Ribbon.

Baobab: Red Ribbon.

Oyuki: Red Ribbon.

Passion: Red Ribbon.

Paloma Azzurra®: Red Ribbon.

Among these achievements, Wien stood out by receiving both a Blue Ribbon and the Best in Class – Cut Dianthusaward, being selected as the top-performing Dianthus variety in the competition.

These recognitions are also the result of the collaboration between SB Talee, as the breeder, and Geoflora, as the grower, combining varietal development with Geoflora’s experience and expertise in producing high-quality cut flowers.

Participation in international events such as the Outstanding Varieties Competition provides an opportunity to showcase varieties developed for the global market and demonstrates the potential of Colombian flowers to compete at the highest levels of the international floral industry.
